Hi Everyone -
Nothing too much has been going on this week, so i decided to write about the peer review subject. Honestly I have not have very many good peer review experience in my college courses. I have found in other college courses that the peer review step kind of gets skipped over. In my last couple of english courses, I have definitely gone through the peer review step. When reviewing essays, I usually came across the ones that don't make sense, had ton of errors, could tell that they just throw it together to throw it together you know what I mean? So of course I would definitely make suggestion on how to effectively fix their essays. At the end of these courses we all were able to read each others essays, so I purposely choose the essays that I had already read to see if what type of changes they had made, and to see if they had taken any of the advice that I had given them. I was definitely dissappointed to find that the essays were exactly the way they were before, and still had tons of gramatical errors. So needless to say I have definitely had discouraging experiences with peer reviewing.

Hello Hadassah! I am sorry that you have not had any good experiences from peer reviews. I was wondering if you ever used advice that peers had given to you. It is difficult to write a paper and remember all the advice that you get from peers. It is best just to remind the person to look for grammar errors and focus on if they need work on finding better information or making it more interesting.
